As I have said many times I am all for green policies. I am not for footing the bill for other nations to become green or setting a higher benchmark for ourselves than we would say Russia,China or Germany.
As Prez and I am no fan of GWB's his first and only priority should be US interests.
Not that any prez has done a good job in that regard in a long time.

Germany is pretty green already. No one is footing their bill.
Bush refuses to set any benchmark for the US and continually thumbs his nose at the rest of the world.
The US does not play well with others.
