Wars are expensive. Thats why we need to only fight wars that are really necessary. I remember when Bush ran for President in 2000, one of his criticisms of Clinton was he used the military to police the world. Bush has instead taken Clinton's policy to the next level. In 2001 when Clinton left office, our national debt was on track to be paid down by 2010. How different our economic situation would be now if we would have just stayed on course with the progress we made during the '90s.
