Both do.

If the people lining up for iPhones took the same time and effort to understand finances, investing, and savings, then they would be able to afford an iPhone and still hvae money left over. Nobody cares to spend the time figuring out their expenses and financial situation, but everyone wants to complain how things are too expensive or not fair.
