Then again, I'm all for gentrification. If you don't have pride in your neighborhood, move on out and make room for someone who will. Poverty is no excuse. It can't happen fast enough, IMO. Went house hunting a few months back and a woman in a beuatiful renovated Craftsman bungalow was remarking about how the "old crack pipe marks" in the wood floors are barely noticeable but gives the place character.
