Denogean: Bush plan defines pill, IUD as abortion | Parting gift for religious right?

"In its final months, the Bush administration is wrapping up a parting gift for the religious right: an official definition of abortion so sweeping it would include the use of birth control pills and other forms of hormonal contraceptives, as well as intrauterine devices."

Maybe the feds need the funds this will save to pay for verichipping everyone.

Don't they realize that contraceptives reduce the number of abortions?

It's ridiculous because the pill keeps a woman from ovulating, so how can she have an abortion when she's not pregnant?

I'll be glad when his reign of terror is over.

I don't see why women would be complaining NOW, after "soccer/security" moms helped boost Bush into office twice. Clearly they like the guy, and it stands to reason they also like his policies. This is like complaining at a restaurant because you ordered soup, and they gave you soup.

Just goes to show the Republicans are space aliens trying to breed humans for their own nefarious purposes.

If this is true, it is very stupid. Not every woman uses birth control solely to not get pregnant. It is prescribed for other medical issues related to the cycle. But that's fine. If I have to call in to work sick every month because I got my period, so be it.

I didn't order soup. I wasn't even hungry. So save it!
