I wouldn't call you a bad american, just a conservative American. I do agree with most of your sentiments. I think a lot of Americans do. The way this country is going today is sickening. American was founded on a lot of your sentiments.Oh yeah, AMEN on Jesse Jackson (from an African-American.)
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!
I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !
i agree besides these 2
it would be interesting to see how the country would run only on donations. and the 2nd is just stupid
anyone see that trigger happy episode where the guy goes to the poem club open house and recites a poem "5 million" where all he does is count to 5 million?
He is a proponent of that reactionary movement that lauds itself as the "moral majority", for he considers himself to be a person of high moral character and standards; he is, above all, a man of principle. He professes to be deeply religious, but he would be pressed to expound in depth on the articles of his faith; suffice it to say that he believes in the literal truth of the Bible - whatever that means.
"I got no truck with that modern mo’rality," he says dogmatically. But he has no qualms about mixing his "old-time" religion with present-day politics. He believes, he says, in freedom of religion - so long as it’s the "right" religion. "It’s got ‘In God We Trust’ right there on the dollar," he says as though making his point.
His cardinal virtues are arrogance, bigotry and uncompromising stupidity. He knows what’s right is right; and no one dare tell him it’s not. "The law’s the law!" he says, pounding his fist for emphasis. Besides this, he is ill-tempered and intolerant of others. He gives short-shrift to his judgments on others, and he has no patience for the exceptions to the rule.
He is a staunch advocate for educational reform. He demands that "Creationism" be taught in the schools - none of that "evil-lution" monkey business for him! - and that the Bible be used as the text for biology class. "That’ll learn’em," he says self-righteously.
He is a firm believer in family values, although he himself was just recently divorced for the second time. (This is a sore subject with him.) And he is absolutely against abortion; there can be no excuse for abortion - not under any circumstances. (Curiously, he has a great number of excuses for why he has not paid his child support; but that is another matter.)
He has many other qualities too numerous to mention, but when all is said and done, he believes - honest to God - that he is a good person, and that Jesus loves him. Needs must this be so - for Christ’s sake - for no one else does.
A poem? C'mon... a list, maybe, but a poem this is not. Weird.
I don't think it makes you a good or a bad American... just indifferent and self-serving.
And lacking in talent (the author.. I hope others reading realize that this was not written by the POSTER). How hard is it to make a list? I make lists all the time. Good ones. Long ones. Short ones. Sometimes I make so many lists that you might think I'm a bit OCD.
I can see why it is "Author unknown". I wouldn't sign my name to it, even IF I believed all that.
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!
It belongs to me, yes, but I've got to pay the bills, one of those bills is to the government because they provide several services that I use and
appreciate.

I'm smart, don't own a gun, but have no problem with someone that does (as long as he/she is not a killer)

I believe in justice for those who are victims, and acknowledgement for those who are noble, minority or not.

I don't eat Big Macs, but politeness is very important, speaking a common language is polite.

If you love America, but don't agree with everything about it, work within the system to make changes, that's what is great about this country.

Strongly disagree, see above, if we followed this logic, then we wouldn't have abolished slavery or achieved any of the changes that came from the civil rights movement.

He served an important role at one time, but no longer

Two parents is a good start, but a strong support system is important as well, be a good neighbor and a good friend.

I think it takes a lot to be a Bad American, we are a pretty diverse bunch with a lot of opinions, the term Bad American should be reserved for a select few, imo.
I agree with most of it. Although as the parent of an 8 year old boy, I do have to watch wrestling but I know it's fake There were a couple others that I don't agree with but for the most part, it's dead on.
