What about this technique doesn't work?

Dogs love raw steak, even the most rabid and loyal guard dogs. Dogs cannot smell certain poisons.

.357 wheelgun. No safety, extremely accurate, always ready. Simple point and shoot operation.

Autos always jam and stovepipe at the worst possible time. Shotguns are too messy and cumbersome. If using a 9mm for defense, you need to file all the sharp edges smooth so it won't hurt as much when you annoy the burglar and he takes it away and shoves it up your rear.

Knives and swords are ok but cleanup is rough. Chainsaws are an interesting option but since most are two-strokes I have to object for environmental reasons. Dogs that are big enough to be effective are usually cowards while the truly ferocious and fearless ones seem to all be smaller than a house cat.

Revolvers rule! All others drool.

I have been waiting for a commercial demonstrating the effectiveness of an alert armed homeowner defending himself and his family.
Technically I like the combination of a shot shell followed by a showstopper. The first shot (#6 shot) blinds the attacker and if the attack continues the .45 Long Colt hollow points end it. The double barrel 12 ga. effectively does the same but messes up a lot more wallpaper in the process.

Lol just because they are Grunts doesnt mean they can take any civilian . You have plenty of civilians who can fight .

I would hope they could beat him in a fire fight but a fight can go either way.

I was testing for 1st dan at the time.

Like I said, wasn't a swipe at military training in general. Most situations were ones where the assaulter was drunk and I was not.

They could be office workers many if not most are not officers E1 private and up could be office workers .

Either way yes just because your in military doesnt make you Rambo lol

Who has seen the S&W commercial where the bad guy breaks into a house in the middle of the night and is greeted by the home owner with a double tap?

Cool commercial.

Yes its a good commercial. I had to shut my alarm off as with heavy winds it would go off but its not S&W

I have never . Its a zero issue for me but its a gated community and they run a tight ship however even before moving here never thought about it .

If I had kids I imagine I would
