If someone broke into your house and it threatened the life of your family, what would your weapon of choice be?

I chose Nail Bat.

If your choice is a Dog or other animal just select "I have my own security service" since I'm pretty sure the majority of people here do not have one.

Sorry for excluding the Shotgun.

12-, 16-, or 20-gauge pump shotgun. No aim required.

ugh, no thanks I would hate the cleaning up after.

I prefer a 45 ACP. Enough punch to stop them, not too much power to push through, and a much smaller area of clean up. no sense in protecting property if you are going to destroy it in the process.

I'd simply let them take what they want. They obviously need it more than I do and mamma says guns are the devil.

How insensitive of you. *chuckle* What a better way to solve someones problems like that than to send them to a place where they don't need anything? *chuckle*

I was thinking that too lol. You remembered butter knife but forgot ol' reliable!

We're a handgun-on-every-floor family though. Just easier hide from the kids but still easy to get at.

I have an honest to goodness sharp a$$ machete I picked up in South America, right next to my bed.

You forgot to add "Large, Mean, Dog"
