It's both hilarious AND offensive. It makes it seem that we only get our oil from the Middle East which is wrong since we get most of it from Canada and Mexico. In that implication it is misleading. It is offensive in that it is also racist because it uses stereotypes (headscarves, terrorism). It also infers that Middle Easterners have something to hide (sunglasses) and that they're undesirable, just like gay people are undesirable (gas pump in the rear). Few people would draw these conclusions because they are not overt, but if you think about what each action symbolizes, it can be figured out. Advertising is subterfuge. The mind is 95%+ unconscious anyway and that unconscious portion drives the other 5%. In other words, wake that portion up! Start asking WHY you see what you see. Or...never mind.
