What a bunch of crap and a waste of time & money. The guy will be out of office in 6 months.
While I clearly agree with you, I suspect that the true motivation is payback for how Bill Clinton was treated during his second term. I think that the Democrats are basically "getting even".
I also think they want this stuff to be part of the coming election discussions.
this should be added. what the hell was he thinking?!?!?!
Who said thinking had anything to do with it? Just say the words "these funds critically needed to protect the lives and health of the American people against the increasing potential for food-born attacks by terrorists will have to come in some part out of corporate profits" to a laissez-faire free market capitalist, and the issue is decided automatically.

Well, there is the fact that Bush actually did do most of the things that the articles accuse him of doing. The only issue would be over which if any of them constitutes an impeachable offense and whether impeachment should be seen at all as a realistic option at this point. Answer to the latter is probably apparent, as the Democrats in the 2006 campaign had already indicated that impeachmment, while perhaps wararnted, was not going to be on the table. They don't have the same partisan vindictiveness as some Republicans, many of whom saw their Clinton impeachment debacle as long overdue retribution for the shabby treatment accorded to poor Richard Nixon. Still, as the clock winds down on an awful eight years, it doesn't seem inappropriate to me to allow the case that could have been made to be read into the record, and it wouldn't at all hurt to remind voters sometimes afflicted with short-term memory loss of just how poorly they have indeed been served by this current administration...

Two witch hunts cancel each other out?
While I think Dubya may well be the most incompetent POTUS ever I don't think it's an impeachable offense.
As Sag stated, the stuff probably even goes back to Nixon. Thinking about that, it appears to likely be true.
When Nixon became a magnet, the Democrats picked up seats and eventually the White House. When Clinton became a magnet the Republicans picked up seats and eventually the White House.
Perhaps this has just become "part of the process". And with all of our wonderful new technology, we have multiple ways to destroy each other.

While I can't really doubt that (politics can be childish at times), there are several more legitimate concerns on this docket. Not saying that these are all things he is guilty of, but they are issues a little more concerning than polished knob and a cigar.
I DO think it sucks that both sides spend more time playing king of the hill than working on behalf of the people like they are supposed to do.

So I guess I am in the same boat, It sucks that both sides spend more time playing king of the hill than working on behalf of the people like they are supposed to do.
Yeah, like we don't have any national problems that could use some attention too...
