Lol, is this a serious question? List ANYTHING the Reps and Dems agree on.....

Even in the rare case they agree, they reword things and use smoke and mirrors to sell it as a Dem victory or Rep victory when something goes through.

Republicans generally stick to facts and knowledge. Many liberal democrats like to cling onto hot topics like abortion, veganism, global warming, homosexualism, etc in a meaningless attempt to bring some sort of comfort and meaning to their lives. Picking up such hobbies as forcing people to buy stupid environmentally healthy light bulbs is exactly what the average liberal needs to fulfill some hidden sexual desire.

Really, this comes down to socialism. Its coming to America sooner or later unless the people are smart enough to revolt. But the people are too divided right now to stand against our government. Global warming has been used as fuel for lighting a socialism fire in America where big daddy government controls resources and distributes them how they decide.

Default Not if Global Warming Exists, its Why it Exists

The debate between Dems. and Reps. is not whether global warming is happening, both sides agree that it is, the debate is over the cause of global warming. Dems. believe it is due to the greenhouse effect, Reps. believe it is due to the natural changing of earths climate.

Both are based on theory, so no way to prove either. It can be said that the earths climate changes, that is a fact, but the speed at which this happens is not fact. This is convenient for the non-believers of the greenhouse effect - no hard critical thinking is required to either understand the theory, and no hard critical thinking needs to be done to investigate ways of reversing the greenhouse effect.

At least, the stereotypical ones do. I'm no Republican, but I know we're in an interglacial...

TXboomerang...hit the nail on the head. Libs need something to replace God since many of them are secular humanists...in addition to that this is the perfect "crisis" for them to steal freedom from individuals.

AaronK - true, libs cling to ideas like that while republicans would rather use issues of morality or security to steal freedom from individuals.

I don't see global warming as a republican or democrat issue however I do see them voting along those lines "sometimes"... Democrats tend to pick up "media-worthy" hype and run with it regardless of whether it is right or wrong, they tend to go with the side that has "wishy-washy" thinking... things like, wouldn't the world be great without wars, without guns, with emphasis on women's rights, income redistribution to help those less fortunate regardless of the circumstances...

However as mentioned earlier, the Earth is warming albeit, it is SUPPOSED to be warming up as the Earth gets older and the Sun gets bigger and more active as it ages. And as mentioned earlier, Democrats think everything revolves around man because it "always" does somehow.... with global warming, they believe is through man-made CO2... Republicans think that we have had periods of warmth and periods of cooling and that we are going through a period of warmth... if you look at graphs, you see that temperature increases BEFORE CO2 increases... makes one wonder why no critical thinking is necessary... If you see CO2 increases before temperature increases then you may have something but sadly, that isn't the case and they use "magical" science to explain it.... You can't reverse global warming because we WILL have it regardless of whether there is CO2 in the sky or not... global warming is part of the natural cycle... perhaps when we enter a period of global cooling, people will blame its because we cut down all the trees or something and provide "magical" science that the world's scientists agrees on... or else... the "or else" is in play right now against people and scientists who don't believe global warming is due to CO2...
