There is a new McDonald's coming to Alamo Ranch.

Boycott McDonald's - A Project of American Family Association (http://www.boycottmcdonalds.com/ - broken link) Watch the McDonalds Gay Pride Video.

Make up your own minds on this, but I for one am disappointed that a family restaurant that has a real hold on our children's attention decided to supplant family values for it's "committment to the gay and lesbian and transgender community."

All I got from that is McDonald's is supporting a "diverse workforce", as with every corporation in the US. I don't think they are putting gay/lesbian literature in the happy meals!

You would need to boycott the arts as well, since they are avid supporters of the gay/lesbian community!

I think you'll be boycotting almost every company in the country if you look closely enough. As for myself, I have more important things to worry about.

To the contrary Mister. Not where it counts. Not with large stores with power and influence.

Look at Walmart. In 2006 they joined the gay, lesbian, transgender chamber of commerce and after being boycotted (similar to what has been done now with McDonald's) and Walmart relented. They backed off their gay, lesbian, transgender affiliations and decided to remain neutral in this controversial social issue.

Feel free to boycott all you like. But the fact is that most Americans don't really care all that much about the issue.

I have been to a san francisco gay pride parade. i can tell you that you would be shocked at the amount of corporate sponsorships, every company that you can shake a stick at. gays & lesbians are your fellow americans and mean no harm to you or your children. we are just everyday americans. ronald mcdonald, a full grown man, has been wearing make up for ages. i doubt that has made any kids into gay adults.

It's not about you or your intentions. It's about McDonald's and their intentions and influence on America (especially impressionable children).

What the boycott of McDonald's IS NOT about:
This boycott is not about hiring homosexuals.
It is not about homosexuals eating at McDonald's.
It is not about how homosexual employees are treated.
and I'll add that it's not about homosexuals as people.

What the boycott of McDonald's IS about:
It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in the culture wars. McDonald's has chosen not to remain neutral but to give the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage.

The above statements are on the boycott website itself. And it's not just that they supported the parade, they're doing much more than that for GLBT agenda.

First of all, there are always going to be gays and lesbians. They've been around since the beginning of time, just as men being attracted to women. They are not out there trying to "recruit" new members. I'm still a man loving female...and I have many gay/lesbian friends. They are just tired of "hiding" their true identity and living in fear. It's not about "promoting" a new agenda.

Second of all...homophobes are not going to stop the mega corporation that is McDonald's. If I were you, I would boycott their unhealthy menu instead.
