rofl. China's got tons of customers lined up to buy their crap. My last trip to Europe saw Tesco stores flooded with chinese garbage and the customers lining up to buy them. Australia and Canada would love to get some cheap shoes in exchange for their vast nickel, oil, and food resources.

They need the US markets for their crap as much as we 'need to buy it.
Actually if you think about it,they need us more.
We as a people could forego buying new crap for a while,China cannot simply stop producing it as their people would rebel.
That's why they invest in us.....It like buying into the biggest company in the world. 14 trillion in GDP....Only the EU ranks above us @ a little over 16 trillion. Russia is was down there hitting up just under 2 trillion.
China lost our business China would fall...we wouldn't be far behind them.....a little collateral damage?
China hasn't invested as much as Japan though....which by the way is 3rd in GDP....Japan has invested almost twice as much as China.
