Let me get this straight.....USA, which is Georgia ally blames Russia for its "disproportionate(sp) response". Those words came from GWB himself. Maybe i just don't get it, but it appears that GWB is acknowledging Russia's response.

I think it looks like he's not sure what the hell to do, and it seems like he's walking a tightrope on this one, though I don't know all the details...

What message would you get if your nation responded to a request for help by sending troops far away and when your nation is invaded by a much more powerful neighbor, your pleas for help fall on deaf ears?
To me it would seem that the USA is not to be trusted.

By the way I know the UN is useless which is my point we cant continue being the worlds ref
What business was it of Russia's how Georgia acts within its own territory?
South Ossetia is Georgian.
I don't know much about South Ossetia and all that but look at the whole situation - the West has it's hands all over this three/four day conflict. Russia knows that they don't need to be fighting freaking Georgia but these guys are just sending a message to that Georgian president and his allies- 'this whole idea of NATO inclusion and planting missiles in my backyard is not gonna take place'

Either escalate the whole thing or sit tight for now see what happens.
