It doesn't matter - abortion is performed via DILATION AND CUTTERAGE at that point. A whole fetus is not "delivered". The contents of the uterus are SCRAPED UP and evacuated into a jar.
who said it was being delivered? I am sure when you tear apart a chicken wing you can still make out the bone structure

A 9 week old pregnancy is smaller than a chicken wing. It is an inch long. An inch. The contents of the uterus are scraped with a curette, then removed via vacuum suction through a tube, into a jar. There is nothing to identify. There is no "baby" "taken out" of the womb. There is a jar full of blood and tissue vacuumed out. The doctor could not identify it at that time if he wanted to - hence, why would they even ask if you wanted to know the sex?
The only POSSIBLE way sex could have been determined, would be if the abortion was at exactly 12 weeks when genitals partially form, and the doctor opened the jar and picked through the remains to see if that part remained whole.
So why would the doctor ask if she wanted to know the sex?

anyways....
maybe the nurse was prolife and wanted to spite her.
who knows.
let me eat my chicken wings at peace without having to picture pureed baby parts

C'mon, don't you think that it is disingenuous at best to say that its just a jar of blood and tissue taken out of someones uterus? Prior to cutterage and suckage, there was in fact a body that would have been clearly discernable on u/s. All the u/s I have had, not a single one showed a jar full of blood and tissue.
As far as determining sex, on that you are right. Even with a whole body (which again, was present prior to the abortion) a dr would be unable to determine the sex on sight alone.

I'm saying after the abortion the contents on sight are blood and tissue. The process of D&C basically scrapes the contents of the uterus and uterine lining, hence the suction of basically just blood and tissue. A whole fetus is not removed.
Thanks for agreeing on the sex issue. Regardless of abortion - it would be impossible for the doctor to determine sex at that point in pregnancy.
Why would a pro-life nurse assist on an abortion? You must know that sounds ridiculous.
cuz she has no choice? its her job to?
who knows
remember the uproar about the doctor who refused to inseminate lesbians because he was against homosexuality? apparently its not in the job description to refuse to do something you are against.
