With all the hate spewing from so many on this board, I hope not. That's a whole bunch of self loathing going on there.

are we talking same sex marriage, or same sex unions?

what is that supposed to mean? No one is asking anyone to make a choice between the two? In case you didn't know, one can be pro gay rights and or be gay and still be, as you put it: a Jesus person.

could it be because there is more to a political party than one issue. Some people have trouble understanding this, obviously you are one of them..

I've seen many arguments against gay marriage...but this one is one of the most absurd yet.

Are you afraid that by this "forced association" that you might turn gay?

It's not a matter of voting Democratic b/c you're gay, it's a matter of not having a viable alternative. When the other side is calling your sexual orientation a "mental disorder", your options are narrowed down. I'm straight so maybe my opinion is irrelevant, but the Republican Party is definitely not for gay people.

I'd like to know how anyone would be 'forced to associate with gays' just because same sex marriage was legalized.

Gays are on the wrong side of history. History has proven throughout time that people are repulsed by such devient abnormal lifestyles. If the Republicans start siding with homosexual marriage they will only make more people leave the party.

I would like to know too...

I'm old enough to remember the same argument used against interracial marriage...

There is nothing abnormal about race or skin color. Stop trying to ride on the backs of blacks and others to excuse devient behavior.
