I am not a cop and never wanted to be, but you do NOT need a degree in criminal justice to be a cop in most places. That's why most of them are as well-informed as the average C-student in high school. Bilingual? Half of them don't even speak standard English!

I'm considering law school, as a matter of fact, and would very much like to go into criminal defense.

Oh, gag me with a spoon. Children are not fragile innocents--not all of them anyway--and they aren't the only human beings with rights.

Seriously?

Because they say so.

That isn't just from my experience interrogating sex offenders, it's from studies conducted and published in a variety of professional journals, like the APA Journal.

Michigan State University has also done studies of sex offenders in prison in Michigan.

They believe they are perfectly normal, and it is you who are abnormal, because you don't like sex with children or you don't like raping women, or whatever their thing is (like weeny-wagging).

It's very important to understand that because it explains two things:

1) In the history of humankind, no sex offender has ever been rehabilitated (there isn't a single shred of evidence -- not even anecdotal evidence); and

2) It is not possible to rehabilitate a sex offender.

The only 2 known therapies that work are death and lobotomy, and the ACLU says you can't do lobotomies.

What about castration therapy? Doesn't work.

If you do a Cost-Benefit Analysis, it's cheaper to execute them.

Until the race riots in Cincinnati a few years ago, you didn't even need a high school diploma.

By rehabilitation, I assume you mean that they are cured of whatever underlying condition they have? If so, you're correct.

If you mean that all sex offenders recidivate, that is a simply crazy and irresponsible statement.

Really? Hmmm, every place, 11 years ago, my son was interviewed, he needed a degree in criminal justice?

It's supported by facts. The only sex offenders who do not commit further sex offenses are those who are dead or in prison.

They had the internet 11 years ago. Most states now require at least some college, since studies show the more educated a police officer is, the less likely they will be involved in incidents of police brutality.

yes, I know, I'm not arguing that fact...my son needed his degree and he is a darn good officer. He's been in it for 11 years...and the stories...

My son had to have his degree, in all the cities he applied even back then.

He sees so much...and the day his child was born, he held her in his arms and cried...thinking...how could anyone harm a child like this? I can't imagine what he has seen...?

Yanno, it says in the Bible, Jesus was teaching and said..."God help those who harm one blade of hair on this child's head" or something to that effect.
