A man or woman in other words an ADULT . Does what is good for them aslong as not hurting anyone.
A little boy/girl is concerned about public opinion .
you don't think other social factors and pressures go into who people are allowed to date? you say "as long as it's not hurting anyone" but what about others hurting you for your actions? in certain parts of maryland, where i'm from, it's not uncommon to hear about hate crimes in and around white communities against interracial relations. sometimes those interracial relations act as platforms for bringing up hidden desires to strive for racial purity, i think. i mean, klans are still highly active. and being the product of a biracial relationship (iranian and caucasian), both my mother and i have felt some post 9/11 hatred for being related to my father.
and still date interracially? I know people can do what ever they want, but I just want to hear some opinions.
I am extremely "Pro (insert my race here)" and I would have no problem dating interracially because of that. Just because I am dedicated to the upliftment and empowerment of my race doesn't mean I hate every other race. I don't consider "race mixing" a problem because I don't see any other race as superior or inferior to mine. I think my potential interracial partner might be the one to have uncomfortable feelings (maybe from expected hostility, or feelings of guilt).
As long as a person has their eyes wide open to race relations in the world, and particularly in the United States, I don't think we would have a problem. I don't expect them to share my views, but they do need to understand where I and my race are coming from, and the role, if any, that their race has played in the history of mine.
