Let's face it, America has overstretched its capabilites thanks to the Bush Administration. We are more hated around the world than liked (Same as Rome) and are seeing a huge decline in dominance from emerging economies not too different than the bandit groups that helped disable Rome.
Rebuplican Gunboat diplomacy may one day cause this great country to cease from existance.
I am not so sure it can be. I doubt we will ever go back to pre 9-11 America which had a lot going for it.
Its sad when law abiding citizens don't trust their own gvmt.
We have certainly walked in many of the steps that Rome had before it collapsed .
Politicians be it Emperor or Senate who were above the law and did what they wanted.
An over extended country with military all over the world . No one truly know's why we are in half the places we are in.
Its true, we have alot in common with the Roman empire & its last days.
But to say its all Bush's fault is pretty shallow. Most all our issues predate him & are not easilly pinned on one party or the other.
We are just too big for our britches & need to reign in & take care of ourselves first.
