The forum for Mexico was added today. What do you think will happen with it? (I think it could be a disaster- Illegal immigrantion debates, language barriers, etc.. More imprtantly, I don't think many Americans will be interested Mexico for relocation purposes. We'll see though.. )

Prediction: it will be filled with hate from many of the same posters who are on the immigration forum.

I visited Cancun in 1997- they couldnt even sell time shares there- too many hurricanes, and crumbling houses in the street. If we relocate, I would think it would be for a change. I would pick Quebec. Don't see enough of them here.

There are around 300,000 Americans living in Mexico. These are not Americans of Mexican descent, but Anglo Americans. It is a great place to live, beautiful and with a sense of personal freedom greatly lacking in this poor over regulated nation.

Default probably won't visit this forum

I suppose if online forums give people a place to vent then perhaps that is an alternative to more radical expressions of profound hatred or whatever is being expressed.

I have heard enough. Said enough.

Only seemed to compound my confusion, add stress.

'Blaming'. Doesn't seem to ever lead to forward motion.

I don't have solutions--best not to be a larger part of the problem.

I, for one, hope that the fine posters on CD will respect the guidelines and post in the appropriate forums. One can always hope, huh?

We already have an immigration forum. The "Mexico" forum should be used by people seeking info on travelling to/relocating to Mexico.

As for those who think US citizens have no interest in Mexico...they must not...SURF (I was going to be mean but restrained myself....). Surfing in Mexico was definitely one of the high points of my young adult hood and I have many fond memories of that country.

They'll all realize that Linux is the way to go and then Microsoft will be in trouble!

But in all seriousness, people will still probably state their opinions in the normal immigration forum.

Think it is a good idea. It gives the mexican a way of talking to the illegals here already to find out what works and what don't, when sneaking over the border. And they can find out where to by green cards in advance. Takes the hassle out of comming to the USA illegally. Now they can just ask another gringo online.
