Without the dollar backsliding the way it has, I dont think the housing crisis would be quite as bad either, and also be in much better economic shape to deal with it. and China would not have a big wad of our dough either.

Oh, and perhaps some of those new homes and mcmansions that were built, may of had to adhere to more strict building codes. Such as requiring a heat pump be installed for homes the colder climates, or solar shingles installed in the southwest region.

By the way..where's Osama? Where's the 9 billion dollars that went missing in Iraq? Where's Cheney and Haliburton's off shore bank accounts? Maybe in Dubai???
If Osama Bin Laden was so important why did Clinton let him go when he was captured and offered to Clinton?

1. A balanced budget, due to no Iraq war

Another person who believes the budget was "balanced" prior to W taking the office? Yep, if you didn't take into account the military pay raises voted for, approved and announced - but left sitting on the proverbial presidential desk in the Oval Office by Slick Willy.

President Clinton led the fight against terrorism over strong opposition from Republicans in Congress and the pro-Republican Media. Here's a long list of accomplishments against terrorism for which the Clinton Administration gets almost no credit, in contrast to the record of the Bush administration "

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000, in the first year of his administration, President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
The perpetrators of the 1993 WTC bombing were caught and punished. The blind Mullah ring-leader was already in jail, and was retried for the attack. His helpers were caught and tried, and they were sentenced to life in prison. That's called decisive action, as opposed to Republican hot air.
After the first 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
The perpretrators of the bombings in Saudi Arabia were caught, most likely with CIA help. Saudi Arabia had them beheaded. What else do you want?

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

The perpretrators of the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings were captured, and are now in jail for life.

When President Clinton learned that Osama Bin Laden was having a top-level Al Qaeda leadership meeting in Afghanistan he ordered the site bombed and came very close to preventing the bombing of the World Trade Centers on 9/11/2001. The response of the Republican leadership and the entire mainstream media was: "Bill Clinton, don't you dare try to "wag the dog", and distract us with all this nonsense about some far away terrorist! What America needs to attend to is the stain on Monica Lewinsky's dress."

Want some more?

Now THAT's the most hilarious thing I've heard today.

The only time the media doesn't come across with liberal bias is when there's a sex scandal of some sort.. then party affiliation is out the window!

The media will eat up any news that will sell, and scandals sell. As soon as the scandals wear thin, the media is back to being liberally-biased as usual. The media LOVED the inbed reporters in the War in Iraq and was just as eager as both Democrats and Republicans to get it started, but after viewers stopped caring about seeing bullets flying, they jumped back on the liberal bandwagon.

Why did he let Osama Bin Laden go???? He's was wrong to treat all those terrorist incidents as "police" matters instead of acts of war, which it certainly was to the enemy. If George Bush was told about "airplanes and buildings" then so was Clinton. He had eight ong years to figure it out. Bush had less then 8 months. Clinton emboldened terrorism and terrorist with his inability to realize what was actually happening- a jihad.

Sure, I'll help you.

Clinton violated 17 US laws and 4 UN Security Council Resolutions spending $500 Million to $800 Million of your tax dollars to buy weapons from Iran and ship them to Bosnia and Kosovo-Metohija, so that terrorists could engage in operations there.

You can sit there and guess all you want, no one knows for sure how better or worse this country might have been with Al Gore. I did not vote for Bush either term, but I did not vote for Al Gore in 2000 either, I voted third party that year.

While not the biggest Gore fan in the world, I certainly think he'd be a better option for the Democrats this year than Obama is.

That all the energy is used for years to come, since Al Gore knows how to waste energy by flying every where and uses more energy than a whole town combined!!!!

All his friends would have been trying to get even more money from the public by travelling by private jets, etc... so they also would have helped to waste even more.

Al Gore the person who tried to eliminate good scientist just to get his wallet filled with green by selling crap and scaring people.

In 2000 I was in favor of him, but over the years I had to change my opinion and the best man was chosen for the job and that is G.W. Bush!
