"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.."
-Thomas Jefferson (200+ years ago)

IE The Federal Reserve, which is NOT federal at all; it is a privately owned corporation. But how many Americans actually know this? We've been looted. It is sad to see what America and its citizens have become.

Know your history or you will be doomed to repeat it. Truer words have never been spoken.

Thomas Jefferson was in debt up to his ass. Might explain his aversion to banks. He had repo men banging on the doors of Monticello.

He did not want to pay his bills. So yes, he was quite the forward thinker in many ways.

brilliantly put. you should consider reading a book on jefferson. he was in debt because he inherited it from his wifes family. perhaps a little factual information might help your case. had he not inherited all those slaves along with crippling debt, perhaps he wouldn't have died in debt. not an excuse for it, but a fact as to why it existed.

And you my patriotic friend should recognize irony when it rears its head.

I do recognize irony. it's ironic that you post without using the facts. anyone with a little knowledge of history knows that thomas jefferson did more for this country than any other person. he was also considered to be the most brilliant.

I am afraid you do not. If you did, you would see that I am being facetious.
