NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Exxon Mobil made history on Friday by reporting the highest quarterly and annual profits ever for a U.S. company, boosted in large part by soaring crude prices.

Let hem pay for the thievery of their Wall Streeet Cronies!

I thought Obama was going to give their profits to the American worker in the form of a tax rebate for ever working American. I don't work but buy gas so why shouldn't I get part of that money? Or is it just another liberal take from one and give to another deal?

Can't you people even remember what the person you are voting for has promised in ways of change?

The greedy do pay for their greed when they buy politicians, they seem to consider it a 'user' fee.

They'd just give it the ol' Congressional hand(wash) job and pass a resolution saying they had nothing to do with the whole mess.

So you're saying we should tax the stockholders of the oil companies to pay for the bailout? Corporations are owned by stockholders like you and me, so essentially we can devalue our stock to pay for the bailout. Brilliant!

How about we lend the RTC type fund they set up the $700B then as housing comes back and the loans rise in value we sell them and make a profit, or at least break even, which is exactly the plan. All we have to lend is the carrying costs on the $700B while the "RTC" holds the loans.
