NEW YORK (Sept. 25) - A naked, distraught man fell to his death after a police officer shocked him with a Taser stun gun as he stood on a building ledge, authorities said.
The man, Iman Morales, 35, was pronounced dead at a hospital after his nearly 10-foot fall Wednesday. Police said he suffered serious head trauma when he hit the sidewalk.
I saw the video.. unfortunate as it is, it was a bad decision but retrospect is always 20/20... I don't blame the officers, they thought they were making a good decision...
I believe tasers are good for use during a chase or if the criminal fails to cooperate with the officer and gets aggresive, but in this type of stuff? no.
The guy was getting aggressive as you can see him holding a long white pole and I believe that is the reason they decided to taser him but unfortunately that was a bad idea... he wasn't holding that white pole because it was pretty...
any attempt by the police to handle deviate behavior is perceived as an attack and subject to a law suit. we have pushed the cops in a corner haven't we. for this we will pay a price. never tie up a guard dog.

Cop Killers + drugs + criminals running from the cops = make cops more stricter.
