Well if equal rights come into play, I am getting a zipper installed near the unmentionables and buying a black market, do it yourself vasectomy reversal kit online.

Bar room humor aside, I don't see a problem with this. Why not, as it seems more cost effective and helps maintain population levels. While I realize that the location and the context in which this lawmaker presented this is rather contentious to say the least, I would like to hear arguments against it.

You may hate me.....but I've seen plenty where this should not be an option, but a requirement.....and not just for the women!

I should have taken a poll... dag it!

Are there no detractors to this idea?

Nope, it isn't mandatory.

Why would anyone object?

Well the first article I posted a link to, went on to be quite critical and equated it to the eugenics movement during the early 20th century and to the Nazi's quest for the master race.

I saw this much as others here apparently see it and since it is a voluntary thing, then what's the big deal. I would even consider going one step further and offering those nations that receive US foreign aid a bonus to do the same thing abroad in nations with populations that are rising faster than they can feed them. While I suspect this kind of sentiment is probably unpopular with mainstream, I'm admit that I'm surprised that no one has argued to oppose this. Might be something worth looking into.
