If there are hearings and so forth, I wonder if any congress person or senator who took money from the key players in this mess will be sitting in judgement.

Dodd comes to mind. He got a whole lotta moolah.

Sorry, Wrong answer. Please go on to ECO 201. Thank you, next...

But since you asked, there is no guarantee of anything except that the gov't. will always ********* worse than anyone else possibly could.

However, I truly believe there is a better than even chance this bailout could break even if not make money for the taxpayers. The gov't. is not just writing checks to keep banks afloat. They're buying stock and MBS's for bargain basement prices. A lot of them are valuable assets and will continue to perform well. When things straighten out the gov't., probably another form of the Resolution Trust Corp., will sell this stuff to get their money back, if not turn a profit.

I have lost all faith in the justice system and how it has been corrupted. Our Constitution has been stomped on. How is it possible that this criminal administration has gotten way with the past eight years of blatant criminal activity? Not one month has gone by without a slap in the face to American people.

What constitutes TREASON??????
I hope the crooks go away for LIFE. And there will be politicians from both political parties involved I bet.

Slonga,

Are you joking? If you need to take out a loan just to make payroll, you probably should not be in business. That's pretty scary.

Does anybody believe that punishment will prevent it from happening again? Or will it just make the fat cats more careful about covering their butts in the future? We've punished these guys before---we even went to South America and extradited them back. What good did it do? How many trillion is closure worth?
