One of the main problems with Elizabeth is that she goes out of her way to defend Bush on the Iraq war. That makes her look silly since most people view it as a big mistake.

Talk about intolerance. I feel like that show has put the women movement back 50 years. Everyone of the women on there look ignorant on a daily basis. I use to think Barbara was a journalist. Now I know better.

You are spot on..! I can't understand why that show is on the air, except for all of the lazy housewives who should be cleaning house and taking care of the kids...
there is always a place for the ignorant...No rational person would watch such garbage...

Oh get over it.

Nothing like one conservative against everyone else.

There's a reason liberals don't like FOX news and Elizabeth...it makes liberals have to think. Bottom line.

I have YET to find a liberal who can support HIS or HER stance/beliefs with actual- look them up-FACTS. And that includes Joy and Rosie and Whooooopie! (those chicks (and most "actors") have something called liberal guilt...they do a whole lot of NOTHING and make big bucks. Had they actually had to WORK hard for their $10 mil per movie or $100K per show...they may not feel so bad about how over-the-top they are paid and keep their mouths shut...like they should to begin with).

Let get back to FACTS. PURE AND SIMPLE FACTS.

The only reason the left doens't like Fox News is b/c it PROVES that their spoon-fed beliefs can and should be challenged. If ABC decided to actually delve into anything other than liberal...they'd get the same crapola. Liberals and their "need" for knowledge should welcome the opposing side...yet they don't which is hysterical to me! How small minded are the left? How small minded are they to think that every rebublican makes $30million a year and is in the oil industry? How small minded are they to think that they are the only ones who recylce or care about the environment? How small minded are they to not acknowledge the facts that brought this country to war while despising war at the same time? Pretty small minded!

GOD FORBID a liberal research something IT doesn't think is true. GOD FORBID a liberal acutally be INFORMED before said liberal makes a decision.

I don't belong (registered to) any party line. I go with the liar who lies the least and will take away the least from me and my family...and so far, going socialist (like the libs want to) ain't working for me. My family isn't going to work 80 hours a week to have what we do so those who B&M over working 40 hours a week get off easy.

You want a free ride? Move to France. When you WANT to dig yourself out of your hole...good luck.

The View is nothing but Regis and Kelly with more folks around the table. Their opinions have no bearing on any issue in America. Silly.

You got a lot of nerve - and I'm hoping you either have no kids or were raised in the 50's considering how ignorant your statement is...Look at the times most of these posts on this board are posted...during work hours...good luck finding a stay at home mom online during the day....had she an out of the house job...yeah, it's easier to hijack the internet for hours at work when you don't have laundry, cleaning, errands, grocery shopping, babies crying, school projects to do...let alone a moron walking in the door asking "what did you do all day, honey?" while he was posting on ONLINE discussion boards all day...

DITTO
Although many can't stand her, I love and relate to Elizabeth. Wonder if she had a parochial education, where you say nothing that is not fact based and learned from research, respect your elders and go to church every week. Most of the panel treat the audiance as if they are stupid, using flipant remarks without any facts, or twisting facts to mirror what "mainstream media", most of which are liberals. It's an irresponsable free for all, no research or real knowledge necessary. Except Elizabeth actually brings in facts into the discussions. Whoopie is easy going and puts little effort into knowing what she is talking about, Joy is a loud-mouthed, irritating woman. The other woman, Serri Shepherd seems more even tempered , caring and decent generally. Barbara is ineffective in arguement, bu tknows she will lose a wonderful part of the panel when Elizabeth leaves because she balances the show, making people like me able to stomach it ooccassionally...

As for elizabeth --- I do think it is very unfair to put one lone conservative against four liberals.
I think you're right... politics aside... liz just comes across as uninformed and an airhead...
I always get the idea that she argues an opinion that she doesn't own.. meaning.. she believes what she believes because she's been told or influenced to believe it.. rather than really think about the issue and mean what you say.. and say what u mean...
While I don't see eye to eye with many conservative views... I think a proper debate and "VIEW" would take place if it was a bit more politically diverse..
with that said, it is about women's points of view.. and typically women ARE more liberal and democrat than men... so.. tough call...
I think if you're going to watch a discussion of issues there needs to be all points of view on the topic.. but also if you're going to watch a show about the views of women.. it has to be respective of what women's views really are.. and not skewed by some submissive housewife type that follows in step with her husband and family out of tradition rather than logic...
I find that with many women, they are so use to always taking the submissive role in all aspects of life.. that they don't really voice their true opinions and thoughts on the issues, and they just get on board with tradition or what their husband or other men in their lives promote or agree with...I find this to be extremely sad. While Liz may not be a housewife at home cooking dinner and waiting for hubby to get home.. I get a vibe from her, and Sarah Palin that they fit into this example as well...
Don't get me wrong, there are sound and solid republican/conservative women out there that have actually thought about the issues and come to their conclusions and beliefs... I'm just saying.. find one of them and put them on the view...or in the VP position...otherwise they're just a puppet serving no real purpose other than lip service...and looking like an idiot in the process

Hmmm....I do think you are onto something with elizabeth. I think she is sincere in her beliefs, but not very well read or versed in them.
To be fair, palin is intelligent and is a very capable governor -- no small feat and that shouldn't be diminished. (although I don't believe she is ready to be vpotus). Also, I don't know the exact percentages, but I would be very surprised if only 1 in 4 women were conservative.

The main problem with the view (in addition to the harpy vibe) is not just 3 dems to 1 rep -- it is 3 very left leaning liberals to 1 right wing rep. Now, that is not a real reflection on what is going on in america right now. Most women are a little liberal for a few issues, a little right wing for other issues....very rarely do you actually meet such polorized (and loud) figures irl. This is where the view went wrong, and that show can't die a fast enough death.
