Republican can try to spin this anyway they want but the report was a barometer of American displeasure with President Bush. Certainly there are going to be people who will never accept that the man they supported\ voted for has turned out to be a total disaster for our nation. Doesn't seem to dawn on them that Bush is viewed with contempt by the overwhelming number of Americans & world-wide he is considered a fool.

Getting back to the CNN report: only 27% of all Americans approve of Bush. BUT when the poll numbers only reflected what non-Republicans feel about the president his approval rating drops to 10% which means Democrats\ independents & many Republicans detest Bush by 90%.

Since the GOP makes up approximately 35% of Americans & Bush has a 27% approval than it is clear that nearly a third of Republicans also find Bush an embarrassing failure.

How does all this translate next month? Pollsters\ political scientists are predicting that Democrats will gain more seats in Congress so that the 3 branches will be dominated by Democrats. McCain will lose & the GOP will be a distinct minority [as it should be since Americans reject their leadership by 90%] You better start getting use to being a shrinking minority for a long, long time

YOU are the one spinning things.. I don't like Bush, and haven't for some time, but I don't like it when someone takes it upon themselves to start spinning things according to their own agenda.

Bush has had the longest poor rating of any president & now his approval is at it's lowest.
This may be the most meaningless thread ever.

Shrug. Some Dems liked Carter after we got ********** by a third world sand pile for 444 days.

Im GOP and I disliked Bush the day the war started. I knew it was a quagmire and an insanely expensive one at that.
You might want to look at the ex-cia chief Bush for a few details about the hostage release. Some interesting facts.

What's also interesting is that President Bush actually gave his best press conference today. He spoke clearly, didn't bury his head and read to us. Bush did refer to his speech but less so than in all his other speeches. When Bush took questions, he looked confident & even relaxed!

I really don't understand President Bush. I have disliked him for so long but now, in the midst of national meltdown, he seems calm.
He's waiting for that first drink in January.

He's been a fine little puppet guy and now he can get his reward in Paraguay(no extradition)....and so he's happy....he never wanted responsibility and in a few months he won't have any...just like a little kid.

Kinda why I like Palin. Her combined income is $166K per year. Some may think that's a lot, and it may be to some. It's a joke to Heinz-Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton, Pelosi, etc. (don't know what McCain or Obama make and don't feel like looking it up)

We need to get rid of (vote OUT) these high-horse riding politicians whose main goal is only to get reelected - screw the people. All about their resumes and my limo is bigger than yours.

How do you know what life is really like when you've got 57 varieties in your bank account? I'd make fun of a republican if I could think of one right now to make fun of too. Kerry was easy.
So you're going to vote for an old man who said he knows nothing about the economy and an airhead because she isn't as rich as the other candidates
