What I like about this forum is that is seems to reflect America's political beliefs...divided, regional/cultural differences, passionate sentiments. Do you think that is true?

Simply put . . . No. There are a lot more liberals on this forum than in real life, LOL.

Or maybe it is that the liberals just post more and are more contentious - and the moderates/conservatives choose to just watch and listen.

considering this is a CITY-DATA forum, and CITIES tend to be more liberal, it makes sense that there is a higher population here of leftist ideals.

I agree. We should show conservatives how to work a computer. Maybe a three step program:

Watch, listen, press power button.

I personally think C-D does bend Left, but I still enjoy hanging out here.

Well, thank you for that remarkable insight, Spy.

Funny - I thought the investor class is typically GOP . . . w/ money to buy any sort of computer equipment they desire.

Maybe you should rethink your theory.

Me, too . . . I tend to get in the middle of the contention, LOL.

I think this forum tends to be very young and inexperienced at life in general.

Also, there are many "know it alls" who remind me of college students who've taken one or two economics or political science courses in college and think they understand the world.

You must be joking...there are dozens of anti-liberal threads posted here daily and the rightwingers are far from shy about putting in their $.02 (or, more to the point, regurgitating whatever inflammatory rhetoric they heard from Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or Sean Hannity)
