Since the inception of this country we have had white men presidents, that was the norm for the country, and nothing was wrong with it.
Obamma comes along attempting to unite ALL people and get this country turned in the right direction and the only thing you can conjure up is "what will he do for HIS people".

Two days ago at my daycare, a black teacher brought a white 6 year old up and asked him to tell what he'd told her, which was :

They are also racist in their own race. Black skinned against light skinned and the malotto too. Their reason for voting (not all but many) is just to prove a point and that's all.

Yes, and plenty of people are voting McCain strictly because he's the safe old white guy--they could not care less about his policies.
Many people (especially of the female gender) were disappointed to see Hillary Clinton's bid for the Presidency upended, because they wanted to vote for the first woman POTUS.
The sooner we get over this stuff, the sooner we can evolve a bit. Perhaps then we'll quit agonizing over differences and categories and look into content of character.

Ever seen a white Haitian? No white people in most of those countries....The Dominican Republic is 85% black or mixed but has had several white (or near-white) dictators, including Joaquin Balaguer, who was an actual pro-Nazi racist. And Kenya does have several white Members of Parliament, as does Zimbabwe. And Jamaica has had a white president recently. His name was Edward Seaga. Born in Boston to white Jamaican parents.
