I suppose you believed Bill Clinton and H.W. when they said they wouldn't raise taxes too.

Just because one is called a socialist/communist doesn't make one... your actions determine whether you are a socialist/communist... it does NOT mean that everything else you believe is socialist/communist... you can be pro-choice and still a socialist and you can be pro-life and STILL be a socialist... highlighting one good person is RHETORIC... lets stop the rhetoric and concentrate on the issues... socialism/communism is legalized THEFT...

Give me 3 pts

14. Invading other countries - not acceptable to meddle in the affairs of other countries for economic or idealogical reasons, or to invade another country unless directly attacked.
Give me 10 pts

So out of a possible 140 pts, I score 99, so I guess I am a 'Liberal'.
I would like to see some others go thru this 'Liberal' test.

Default No "innocents" executed since 1977?

One reason that there may not have been any exonerations of people who have already been executed is that once the person is dead, normally the "investigation" stops. The records on the case in the possession of prosecurtors are destroyed. Same is usually the case regarding records in the possession of the appellate attorneys.

I can give you one example of a death row inmate who died of cancer on death row in Florida who was exonerated AFTER his death by DNA evidence. In that case, the prosecutors had fought to STOP any DNA testing in the case for years prior to the man's death from cancer. After he died, the prosecutors tried to destroy the DNA evidence, however, a pro bono law firm came in and filed for an injunction to stop the prosecutors from destroying the DNA evidence. There was a series of court proceedings before it was finally ruled that the DNA could be tested. The pro bono attorneys had to raise money from the private sector in order to PAY FOR testing the DNA. It was tested. The death row inmate (who had been on death row for 14 years before dying of cancer) was INNOCENT.

The name of that death row inmate was Frank Lee Smith. Frontline did a piece on that particular case. You can google Frank Lee Smith and find lots of information. The defense/appellate attorneys knew already who the real murderer was and that Smith was not the killer. However, because of court rules and laws pertaining to death cases, (and in this case strong oppossion from the prosecutor/state attorney) there is a strict procedure which has to be followed in order to get a death sentence over-turned.

The problem with the death penalty is that it is IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT TO BE FAIRLY ADMINISTERED.

Not guilty people are executed in this country.
