Your college record have nothing to do if you qualify for president or not.
It will prove he has nothing to hide.

The issues of the day, with small counties who are enemies having nuclear power, are much too complex for 'common sense'.
The frontier days are over, when someone just does ya dirty and you shoot him.

It was the 'common' sense of the 'common' folk that George W counted on when he won the election. THAT was EXACTLY what got us into the horrid situation this country finds itself in today.

Bush was a guy people would feel comfortable with in a bar, tossing a few down. No, that is exactly NOT the way to go.

Unscrupulous politicians appeal to the 'common' side of us, simplifying issues, making you think they will do the right thing. When they get into office all you notice is that the rich are getting wealthier and more of your neighbors lack health insurance and are out of jobs and cannot afford college for their kids.

There is little that is common in today's world, and those who spout platitudes and pretend it is otherwise are not your friends, but using you.

Obama has been on this national stage much longer then Sarah Palin. If he hadn't set a standard by refusing to release his transcripts she would have to release hers. He is in the drivers seat in this situation. If this is a game, it's a game that has been initiated by Obama. I'm still waiting for his medical records as well. Why not?

I did not support that. You can check my posts on that subject.

They'll just come up with something else he should "release".

Personally, I don't think either one of them, nor McCain, nor Obama, should release their transcripts. I have never heard of this asked of presidential candidates before. However, the above argument is weak. Re: medical records, I saw some of Barack's on CNN today. Where are Sarah's?

This year both obama and mccain are being secretive, why I dont know maybe they are both idiots in disquise i say both need to release their transcripts, mccain from his time at the naval academy and obama from two colleges one i cant remember and the other at columbia university.

I guess at least mccain has released more obama has been quite secretive on his campaign trail but so has mccain which begs the true question.

Can we truth either one of them.
I don't think so!

I have never heard of this before.

Here is the problem with america, stating something without backing it up in anyway, or backing it up with something off of wikipedia (and we all know that wikipedia cannot be trusted as the people who post do not have to be acredited in the field).

this is an excert just from our last decade ill dig up more if you like.

Taken from the NY SUN

Obama's Years at Columbia Are a Mystery - September 2, 2008 - The New York Sun

For better or worse, voters have taken an interest in candidates' grades since 1999, when the New Yorker published President Bush's transcript at Yale and disclosed that he was a C student. Mr. Bush had never portrayed himself as a brain, but many were surprised to learn the next year that his opponent, Vice President Gore, did not do much better at Harvard despite his intellectual image. When Senator Kerry's transcript surfaced, reporters found that he actually had a slightly lower average at Yale than Mr. Bush did.
Some political observers cite such disclosures as proof that candidates' intelligence cannot be judged solely by their political careers or the schools they attended. Grades provide a rare measure of intellect that is immune to political spin, proponents say.

none the less WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DEFEND AGAINST HIS TRANSCRIPTS BEING RELEASED, IT IS TRULY UNDEFENDABLE!

OK, I stand corrected, partially. 1999 was 9 years ago. So only the past two elections, until this one. I guess I never took a ton of interest in the transcript thing.

The crack about me being "what's wrong with America" is a personal attack, and I for one, generally back up facts that I post with a link. I was expressing an opinion.

It's a cold, hard fact. Obama graduated magna *** laude from Harvard Law School in 1991. Deal with it.

So, what's up with ACORN these days?

You're all missing the point, he as well as MCCAIN should release their college transcripts it should be mandatory. This is not an attack on Obama by me, or personal attacks.

Let me revise my point to my first one.

Both candidates are hiding information that the american public have a right to know, even if this right isn't currently part of our requirements for presidency, the candidates out of deceny should release this information as they are running for the highest office in the land.

Do you not agree? You'd rather look the other way as to why Obama has refused to release his transcripts after building himself up as a accomplished accademic? Same with McCain he too should have to release his transcripts from the Naval Academy.

Why defend a position that is undefendable, why should a person not have to release their transcripts when running for the highest office in the land.

As stated before many employers require this.

The US Military requires both high school and college transcripts (if you have any) when applying to them.

Yet somehow its okay not to release them if you are going to command the entire military?

Makes no sense to me.
