ATF disrupts skinhead plot to assassinate Obama - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081027/ap_on_el_pr/skinhead_plot - broken link).

After reading this article I am wondering what will happen in the next 8 years. This election will truly be a test.

I wouldn't be surprised if a delusional far rightie actually shoots Obama. The far lefties were crazy enough after super liberal Jimmy Carter lost to plot an assasination on Reagan.

Both sides have their nutcases. I can only "hope" that if Obama makes it to office that any assasination attempts are thwarted. I can't stand the guys policies, but if he is elected I do not want anything bad to happen to him.

Thats just stupid...it just goes to show how people are lead on to think. And the people were from Tennessee...again the south, still behind 40 years. Its ridiculous.

Whats wrong with people to think, whether obama or mccain is going to have a major impact on your life. The presidents are just a person to point the blame at the way I see it. Congress is the one who approves or disapproves any decision.

To go after 1 person? Its stupid and they rather spend their life rotting in a catacomb because they're too stupid to understand how the damn system really works. And that goes for anybody plotting something because of politics.

It remind me of the story in Canada of the greyhound bus attack....his dumb ass thought he'd die, now he's going to be locked up in a dungeon for the rest of his life

but it'd probably be similar to the shoe bomber incident, and he'd got his ass kicked pretty bad LOL

The president has more to fear from those around him than some crazy that might get lucky. But if it keeps them from going totally power mad, maybe its good to be a little scared of pissing the people off.
