Sure you do. That's why your spending your time posting on the City Data forum instead of working....

You know, comments like yours have so disillusioned me with the people on this forum that I officially cave. You win.

You were wrong on your other post why would anyone take your word on this one.

Are you a property appraiser? What evidence do you have that the property is undervalued?

Where is the link to all these facts?

My point is that there are many more loopholes for the extremely wealthy, and Bush economics has not improved the situation for the middle class, while the rich have gotten richer. I am the 1st person to say I don't want my hard earned $$ going to some loser who isn't willing to work for what he or she gets.
The "loopholes" are business deductions. Someone as well educated as yourself having an MBA from an "ivy league university" should be able to open a business and make the "loopholes" work for you.

Come to think of it, ANYONE could open a sole propriotorship and make business tax deductions available for them as well.

Why do brackets even exist? Why can't the just do it this way?

Govt approximates spending of 10$ next year. s(pending) =10

Projected earnings for taxpayers for next year in 100$ e(arning)=100

tax rate is 10% for all. t(ax) =.10 or 10%

s/e=t

of course I used simple numbers not representative of the actual figures, merely to demonstrate the formula.

Exactly. The more we encourage people to learn about FairTax, the better we'll be in the coming years. Unfortunately, only Mike Huckabee and I believe Ron Paul were the only major candidates who understand the benefits of FairTax. Hopefully next election we'll have a nominee who fully supports it. For the next 4 years, continue to inform everyone you know about how well FairTax would work for everyone, regardless of income, if applied correctly.

Were you appointed moderator? You should apply, you seem to need a place to vent your petty control issues.

The property tax amount of ~$3,0000/year seems pretty low for a condo in La Jolla. That's lower than our taxes in Austin- hardly beachfront in California.
