People can have all the views that they want that diverge from mine. But when they post reasons for those different views that are false, illogical, or simply selfish, I might take issue with some of those reasons. The Bush version of "spread the wealth" was to take it from middle and upper-middle class workers and their families and give it instead to me, and already-rich person. The Obama version of "spread the wealth" is to take it back from me and return it to the people who had it before. And let me repeat once again (since it's an important point) that none of either one of these affects my lifestyle at all. It is money that I never needed and will do perfectly fine without. It's like adding or subtracting a cup of water from a bucketful. After you do, there is still a bucketful sitting there. All this garbage about unfairly "punishing" rich people is simply a load of crap.

Different motivation with the so-called bailout. No choice there, as trying to unclog the flow of credit had become (thanks to previous unwillingness to address the obvious) an absolute necessity. The relatively soft terms of business bankruptcy are there simply because society values the contributions that entrepreneurs make. We don't want to be destroying these people. So they screw up. It happens. You pick them up, dust them off, and give them a pat on the back for having had a good try at it. Then you get the guy with the mop to come over to clean up a little bit (he's usually the one in the black robes), and then you hand Mr. E a nice new check and tell him to get his butt back out there and try it again. That's socialism for you...

You sound like all of those Hollywood nut-jobs who swore they would leave the U.S. if Bush got elected... I have read many of your posts and I know you are not like that... but you are beginning to cross that barrier! (We all have some fears... even my ultra-Lib black friends: They want Obama to shine and are afraid that if he does not that it will hurt black candidates in the future etc.) I personally do not think that is the case!

I actively campaigned against Obama and was a member of Team Sarah! I worked really hard gathering all of the facts about Obama and trying to dispell many of the myths that surrounded him so that our party could perfectly debate the opposition and not get caught up! Like it or not 51% of the United States of America has voted for Mr. Obama and he will be OUR president when he is sworn in.

I am a firm believer in the Constitution of this great country! Obama will be my president as long as he upholds his oath of office, does not fundamentally change the Constitution or the framework of this country, and does not forget that he is a public servant! This is a representative government and he is there to represent me as well! I will protect this country from ALL ENEMIES foreign and domestic!

I pray that I am wrong about everything I believe about Obama to be true. I hope that he becomes the greatest president in our nations great history! But we as Americans cannot let him just have free reign over us... "He works for us, he is a public SERVANT!" He has no history of reaching across the isle! But now, he has to help whites and Republicans alike!

All Americans need to hold our public officials accountable for their actions! Regardless of party affiliation!

Wow! I actually agree with you. You must be slipping. Do you believe that I am a Republikan? If you do, then I can gladly free you from that misconception. To me, the republikans are only SLIGHTLY less socialist than the demokrats. BOTH parties, or more correctly polits, are evil communist central planning organizations.

I do not, nor would I ever, think that "helping" the rich with the confiscated wealth of others is any better than "helping" the poor. Either way it funds and rewards inferior people and behavior.

Finally, I was trying to be funny, probably poorly at that, but I really don't feel special. It is the God-like, omniscient, self-righteous among men who always like socialism and the social planning projects. It is these "special" people who believe that they can run the world better than everyone else. It is always this elite that that try to implement central planning that oppresses the majority for the sake of the minority.

Given the "elites" continued failure throughout history to socialize people, it makes one wonder not how educated they are, but rather how little intelligence these people really have. Me personally, I don't believe they continue the failed policies of the past because they are stupid, but rather very evil. They would rather have the power to enslave the people for their silly experiments than to be relegated to daydreaming about why the "stupid" people did not want to be insects.

It cannot be stated enough. The course of demise for this nation was taken far before anyone here was born. It is sick to think that a temporary, or permanent one for that matter, switch of party control will influence in any way our inevitable transformation into a communist society.

People must realize that the states were completely bankrupted by the Revolutionary War. Our fledgling nation could not even finance itself and no money changer of the time would risk their capital on such a risky proposition. This new government was worth nothing. The only capital or assets that they "possessed" were its citizens. The government was forced to offer this "human capital" to the money changers in exchange for funding.

Huh? Well, an agreement was needed to make every citizen personally responsible for the debt of the federal government in order for the money changers to accept the risk of loaning it to us. Essentially, every American, even from the very beginning of this nation, is a slave to pay off the debt of the godvernment simply by being born here or accepting citizenship. To this day, the money changers, "respectable" banks now, simply do everything possible to keep our nation in debt. As it is we can barely manage to pay off the interest.

Imagine people that you have high credit card debt where you can only afford the interest payments. That is Amerika. You will be a slave forever to the credit card company. For your entire lifetime, the Rothschilds of the world will get a nice hefty percentage of everything that you and every other amerikan will ever produce. These "banks" are the largest slave holders of all time. Don't worry. You are not alone. All of our "allies" throughout the world are in the same boat, but that is an entire book.

So what was next to doom this nation? Well, the Lincoln presidency that is what. (I do laud his noble attempts to oust the Rothschilds though. Google greenbacks if interested.) This nation until Lincoln was still pretty much constitutional. A nice agreement of cooperation among independent states. Well, we all know what happened when certain states tried to exercise their legal and moral right to secede, don't we? After he was done, the only purpose of even having states was gone. A federal regime had taken over and ended the glorious experiment of a new free nation. Now all states were simply subjects of whatever federal tyranny might seem necessary by the current kook party in charge.

I will not here go into the time of the Federal Reserve Act, because again, the evils unleashed on the amerikan people from it are too vast to enumerate. In simplest terms, the federal regime allowed the money changers to write their own law to ensure our inability to escape from their possession. Outsiders, whose only interest was to enslave the people, were from then on able to control our currency, economy, and thus our entire lives from then on without any restraint.

The final nail in our proverbial coffin was in place when a crippled dictator was permitted to implement every socialist policy that he wish to inflict upon the people. I view FDR as more evil than even Stalin and Hitler. This is only because the effects of Stalin and Hitler's evil no longer continues to oppress their people. FDR's policies continue to oppress our nations people to this day. So in fact, he has many more victims. You name the idiotic social program of choice and it has its roots with this evil man.

Many will argue that FDR was trying to "help" people during terrible economic times. I do not buy it for a second. FDR and Stalin were very chummy and FDR simply did all he could to keep pace with him. Remember the arms build up during the "cold-war"? Well FDR and Stalin were in a battle to see who could implement more government central planning. A d**k waving contest that was perhaps the most devastating to mankind's freedom of all time.

Everything after FDR can simply be seen for what it is. The slow transformation of amerika into a completely communist nation without a violent revolution. For those who do not know what socialism is, this is precisely its definition. A gradual non-violent transition of a capitalist nation into a communist nation. How can I put it to all of you? Every day, in every way, we take another step forward to our communist destiny.

So you will see me trolling these threads railing against those espousing the "virtues" of socialism represented by both political parties. I know where we are heading, I just like to vent my disgust at those who want to speed up the process.

Saganista - you say that under the Bush plan wealth was taken from the middle and upper middle class and given to the wealthy (such as yourself). Obama's plan is to confiscate that money and "return" it to the rightful owners.

That means that those of us who have lost huge amounts of our life savings (via tanking stocks in our retirement accounts) are due for quite a windfall. Right?
