I'm shocked that prop 8 won. I really expected it to fail and then gay couples could finally get married. Such a shame.

I don't understand how the gay movement can destroy traditional family values. It seems to me it's been the heterosexuals intent on doing that.

Your wrong, it affects all of society, it affects children, it affects gays... look at the health statistics. Mental and Physical.
It affects broken families, children that are adopted, it affects political parties, it affects social programs and costs. It affects employers and employees, religious organizations and institutions.

Sexual abuse does not diffentiate down gender lines.

Grown men abuse little girls and little boys. Grown women abuse little boys and little girls.

Man/boy doesn't equal homosexuality. It equals pedophilia. Don't try to confuse the issue by throwing in Namba. They're all a bunch of pedophiles, nothing more, nothing less and that has nothing to do with gay marriage.

But then again, judging from the rest of your arguments I've had the distinct misfortune to read, I wouldn't expect you to be able to distinguish between the homosexuality and pedophilia.

So, it is OK that gays have to pay increased SS costs, medical costs, tax write off costs, depreciation costs. " Everything that makes families a special interest group"..WHY do gays and lesbians have to pay more, yet are denied the same benefits and rights as straight people. Now in Florida, they will be taking away the rights of domestic partners and those with civil unions that were already established and in Arkansas they have made sure that gays and lesbians cannot adopt or be foster parents. Where do you think all these kids in adoption programs and in foster care came from? They came from straight people showing how much they appreciate the rights of marriage and having a family that they enjoy, yet do not have to fight for. The state cannot divorce these couples, they have to divorce each other. Heck, they can get married again as soon as their divorce is final and have a church wedding. I would like to see my costs decrease by not paying for your special interest groups privileges and breaks and your kids.

Your right, marriage is in dire straits, men and women have abused the privelege and are deserving of the social decay as well. I don't think we need to add to the misery of families and children by futher eroding the institution.

THe overwhelming majority of adopted children comes from out of wed (not married) women.

When I was a kid, I was disgusted by anyone kissing on the mouth in front of me, regardless of sex. That probably explains their reactions also.

Are you really that desensitized, you realize that up until a few years ago Ellen lost her job because of a kiss like that on her television show...
I think the show was canceled because it stopped being funny. I don't know if you've noticed, but it seems that she is even more successful now.

do you really think gay choices are normal and acceptable behavior in our society.
What are gay choices? If they include having relationships with people of the same sex, then yes, I think they are normal in that there is nothing wrong with them. They are not fully accepted in our society, but that has no relevance to me. That shouldn't deter anyone.

Quote:
It is wrong and not normal. It comes from abuse, insecurity, wanting to be accepted, acting out against society, spiritual influences, and so on... It is something that people can overcome. I've seen it happen many times, people realizing the error, and walking away from being gay.
I feel sorry for those people. And I feel sorry for people who are so oblivious to reality that they think gay/bisexual/pansexual/what-have-you individuals must have been abused and/or have severe emotional problems. It's sad that you've convinced yourself of that only to justify your viewpoints.

Which they had by having unprotected sex with men, not women.

Edited to add:
And if they are lucky the children will be adopted into loving two parents homes, regardless of whether the parents are both or the same sex or not.

Why stop at 2 consenting adults. Why not allow 3, 4, heck 10 consenting adults to get married. It wont hurt anybody at all..
