That's not nice.

Rather than putting down a poster, you should explain to us why you think Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind of the 1993 attack. And how we can legally prosecute and imprison people for having contact with terrorists. Don't we have to have proof, not just suspicion, in this country? Isn't that part of the American principles we so ardently defend? So where's the proof?

No, it's a Southern culture vs mainstream US one.

Born to a old family (we got kicked out of England in the 1600's) who settled in the Lowcountry of SC.

Educated (undergrad) at a southern college. Undergrad major: Poly Sci, with an emphasis on Extremist and Southern Politics (pretty much same thing).

'N yourself?

Part of the difference probably has to with the fact that blue states tend to have more union influence and that, in turn, has usually let to higher wages for workers. Democrats have supported unions, giving them more votes in these states. Another possible influence on this is aot of the red states are both very conservative overall, favoring Republican candidates, and are also located in the South and mid-plains (e.g., Utah, Kansas, etc.) areas where average incomes are also lower.
