After suggesting that Barack Obama had anti-American views in an exchange three weeks ago with MSNBC host Chris Matthews, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) told Politico Thursday that she was “extremely grateful that we have an African American who has won this year.” She called his victory “a tremendous signal we sent.”

Minnesota is a beautiful state. I like the rolling hills - where the forests and the farm fields meet. It's the cities that I think are ugly (the places where Democrats thrive)... However, I think ALL cities above a certain latitude not only have unpleasant weather most of the year but are also ugly.

As for why Minnesota has a record of electing crazy, activist type politicians, I think it has to do something with the cold weather up there and being couped up in a small house for 8 months of freezing weather. See: Barn Fever.

Al Franken likes bestiality? No, he just thinks it was appropriate for his 12 year old son to access bestiality websites in order to write a paper...

WOW

Al Franken, "I'm proud my kid learned of bestiality on the web."

As clearly evidenced by the presidential election, there are idiots in all states.
The political pool must be extremely shallow if this is the best Minnesota can do.
