Gay marriage isn't a civil rights issue. It's a moral issue. Just like we don't allow brothers and sisters to marry, we shouldn't allow the same sex to marry.
Live and let live. How does a choice that a gay couple makes affect your privacy? It seems that the people that bash or want to stick their noses into everyone else's business are the biggest hypocrites. Look at those right wing Christian preachers that are always being caught soliciting prostitutes of both genders. Get a life!
I don't want the weirdo's talking to my kids or flirting with them, or what have you. There influence in this country is like a plague now.
Gay people would be the least of your kid's problems. Intolerance, unenlightenment, provincialism, bigotry....they have enough to deal with at home without unnecessarily worrying that "the gays are coming!"
You might want to teach them about pedophiles though...the vast majority of whom are HETEROSEXUAL.....

I've actually gotten along with many conservative people in my life. I wonder, though, if the conservatives here have ever gotten along with liberals, or God forbid - gays.

I'm actually quite tired of being nice to people in person when they view me the way some do simply because I love women. It's unfortunate that we would get along better in person. That would mean we were being fake.
You realize you are in the minority opinion and i've yet to see anyone call you a moron....
So what you're saying is that I'm not taking the moral high ground and I'm in no position not to. As I've said, for the past few days, I haven't cared. At all. I don't have any kind words for those who oppose marriage equality.

Oh, I don't see it that way at all. Everybody has to be a little bit fake when they're getting to know each other.
Thank goodness we don't all interact in person the same way we do on the internet. To me, that would be a nightmare.
