What is the definition of an "assault weapon"? Do you know?

Thought not.

It was a joke. You can buy a gun with just a driver's license. They'll call in a background check on your name & address, and in less than an hour, you can walk out with your rifle/shotgun. Handguns generally have a waiting period of a few days, unless you have a concealed carry permit. That's Florida law anyway.

Think this may have triggered a reflexive reaction?

They export modified , one shot at a time ( self-loading ) versions of the rifle that our Czech and Slovak allies

The VZ58 is also popular in Canada. ( Believe or not).

Edit to add:
www.vz58.net
It's got to be a shock to learn that these are legal in Canada.

You're blinded by the Brady Campaign and too many movies without doing some real research on semi-automatic rifles. I have a few "assault" weapons that I actually hunt with, and I've never "shot wildly from the hip."

Some of you fail to understand the vast popularity of shooting sports and that there are more types of shooting sports than just hunting.Read and look at this..........

the only people firing any type of firearm from the hip are gangbangers that dont know any better and acters and actresses.

What some of the gun banners don't seem to understand is that AR's are now mainstream.
Justice Scalia used the phrase " in general use" when he wrote the SCOTUS ruling on DC v Heller.

Sorry folks, but that is a game-changer -- it's not like 1992 anymore.

Uh, hello "Unstable"? Any response?

Probably out looking up the list of 1,000 features that can be added to any gun that turn it into an "assault rifle" lol!

Come to WV. You can walk into a gun shop, fill out the paperwork and walk out with a handgun and ammunition all in under 15 minutes. Did it twice last month. No waiting period. No CCW needed. Just your driver's license will do to verify your age and that you are a resident of this wild and wonderful state.
