It had to happen, insult to world leaders; "you're pulling a Bush" (Putin, Reaganomics)

Ouch! In football to "pull a Houston Oilers" means you gave away a game that was in the bag. Now apparently in the world of international discourse saying someone is "being like Bush" means that they're pursuing a policy of tyranny and agression.
When Sarkozy (D-France) had Putin (God-Greater Russia) on the phone during the early stages of the Russia/Georgia dust-up Putin reportedly said he would "hang Shaskaveli (National Socialist-Georgia) by the b**ls". Sarkozy, not catching the whole thing apparently replied, "what, hang him? No, no, you don't want to be like Bush".
Apparently this had somewhat of a calming effect on Putin. I guess he knows it's one thing for everyone to know you're an a**hole, a petty tyrant and a guy who probably kicks his dog. But to be known as "a Bush" was just too much.
So, the great nation that has given the world; "Jeffersonian democracy", "The Monroe Doctrine" (and the "Roosevelt Corollary"), "Wilsonian Internationalism", and even "Reaganomics", has another expression that will resonate through the ages, unfortunately.
