Well, I thought you started this thread to make the point that it's absurd to have this many threads, that people shouldn't be so preoccupied with this issue, and we should have resolved it so we'd be talking about other issues that are truly relevant to everyone. (Okay, I guess that was reading a lot into what you said). AnUnidenitifiedMale disagreed about whether the threads should exist, but in the grand scheme of things, and also in the context of the debate, it seemed like that was a minor disagreement between y'all. But maybe I'm missing something...I don't know.
First of all, define "homophobia." I really find it hard to believe that anyone has a true "phobia" of people who attempt to mate with the same sex. Heck, how would a person know if another person did that stuff unless they were told??
There are plenty of people who believe homosexuality is immoral, but I have yet to meet anyone who is truly afraid of people who attempt to mate with the same sex. Like I said, how would they even know what others do at home in private?
The whole "people who think homosexuality are wrong have some kind of mental disorder" is just a straw-man argument.
Remember that this whole brouhaha started when "gay marriage" was proposed. Before that, people pretty much did "live and let live" other than in a few isolated, yet we publicized cases.
Hmm, in a word NO. I remember back in 1977 when I had this guy friend who was gay, who tried REALLY HARD to be straight. This stuff has been going on for a long time.

You do not have to read a gay thread. What compels you to wander to it? If you would like to be in a closet , go for it. The problem is people pushing us into the closet. It is yours now, enjoy it.
Dude, I am not in a closet. I have sex with guys and I'm open about it, as are a lot of the posters here.
