Funny the Qu'ran has similar passages when a woman is widowed.. but the basic intent is the woman needs to be cared for as she would otherwise starve (as well).
taht was the basis for polygamy in the muslim faith too. many men died in war, so the mutliple women were forced to marry a single man.
of course this made sense in the past, when society was based soley on agriculture and human strength was important. thats basically why they needed a man and farmers wanted boys and sons
yet agian another stupid person making another stupid post! In canada and me personally, we are not persecuting gays!! i have tonnes of gay friends and what they do is their own business! if they love someone, then how is that different then a straight person loving someone??
so is everyone clear on where i stand? can you stop the "homophobe" and "persecution" alarm now?? buti know you wont. why? because saying your being "persecuted" and "oppressed" gives you this ability in our modern society to complain as much as you want and try and get as many benefits out of it as possible?/

i never though homosexuality is a "recent trend". what i said was simply that it was largely (although not completely) the fault of the community as a whole (the gay community) for the rapid spread of AIDS through thier irresponsible activities of unrpotected sex, drug use and multiple partners!
simple as that. end of story. people stop brigning up "persecuted crap", stop saying "how is it different then straight marriage" stop.
the issue at hand was explaining what the "gay community" or "lifestyle" is and was. then it moved onto AIDs. and i gave a very intelligent answer based on facts, about how AIDS spread, the "lifestyles" traits as was kinda stereotyped in general. of course it can never be 100% accurate. some gay will say "hey i dont do taht" or "hey i dont do taht but i do that" so its impossible to make an accurate assesment of individual cases..
the numbers in an overall statistic often conflcit when you do personal questions. anyways i hoped that cleared something up
now please people, can you make intelligetn responses or criticisms to what i wrote. istead of the garbage that campign jsut threw up on this thread?

From what I've seen and heard of the womens studies course.. nor would i want to... so now that youve made some stereotyps??? can I??? lesbians are bascically just women, who cant get guys. they are either ugly, fat, or butch, and have had a bad expirience once so now they are put off that sex entirely. instead of understanding both sexes have thier good and bad, and that a girl in a relationship could hurt a guy jsut as much as the other way around, they defy reality and run to "the only epople who they can relate to".

because the fact that i type super fast and dont really give a crap about spelling reflects my intelligence??
lets give an example of a 30 year old genuis whos in a rush, and so he doesnt really look at what hes typing because hes preoccupied and has more important things to do.
then theres some idiot who writes thi BS statement, doesnt even read what the other posted, but uses spell check (and everyone knows that the people who tkae the time to use spell check are in fact 20% smarter its a fact!!!).
