Yeah? I'm not homophobic either but I'm sick of it being rubbed in my face as if I need to know about their sexual orientation. Why do they do that as if we want to know unless they're trying to prove how mistreated they are? Shut up already is my advice. And I won't shove my sexual orientation down their throats either.
Heterosexuality is everywhere I look. Ads in the paper, commercials on TV...everywhere. Start actually looking for it (we take it for granted) and you'll see how heterosexuality is everywhere.

I read the following on another thread:
"I'm not homophobic, but I'm sick and tired of seeing gay images in the media."
When someone is phobic, it means that they have a fear of something. Being sick and tired of seeing gay images do not indicate fear of homosexuality but an exasperation with the whole subject. Sad how people build their lives around their sexual preferences.

For the pro-gay crowd, merely indicating a dissenting opinion about homosexuality equates with "hatrid" and "bigotry". They just want to discredit the opposition and as California proved, it ain't workin'

I think sexuality (both homo and hetero) needs to be toned down in the media as it should be private.
BINGO!! The heightened sexuality and violence in the media is over the top!
Probably not a bad idea, but I tend to think the over-the-top violence is more harmful and widespread. I understand that some European countries are more risque than we are, but wouldn't show as much violence on television as we do. Someone can correct me if I have that wrong. I'm getting OT, but it is a very interesting subject.

The word "homophobic" came from guy I was quoting. I didn't label him with that word.
And yes, it is sad how heterosexuals build their lives around their sexual preference. Why do they have to flaunt it? I mean - I don't want my baby nephew seeing that in public!

I prefer using the word "ignorant".
