Italian-Americans, unlike other US ethnicities, do not have a particular political orientation or political party that they are disproportionately found in. They generally span the political spectrum and are found in both parties.

There are showbiz Republicans but they're moderates or libertarian leaning Republicans by and large. Those who flock to the religious right are the terminal has-beens.

I use to watch his show all the time and he always claims not to state his stance, but once he did slip on his show and said he was a moderate republican.
