I can understand not agreeing with her, but the level of viciousness has been taken to another level, and I don't think it would exist if she was a horseface. mike hukabee is a religious extremist guy, and people generally like him.
He is a man. She is a woman that would be taking the Women's Movement backwards. A woman doing that to other woman is more insulting.
but she meets constitutional qualifications. should the presidency and public offices be open for only the elite, or scumbag lawyers? that's a scary thought.
But, honestly, you have seen her enough, I would imagine, to realize that this woman is not capable (maybe I should use that word) to be President. I shudder to think how she would react in the event of a crisis.
Liberal women aren't overly concerned with what other women look like. What we do mind is how the Republican party makes such a show of Palin and much of that hoopla revolves around her appearance. Hence, the $150,000 wardrobe . Combine that with Palin's winking and cutsie "aw shucks" routine, and you can begin to understand how she successfully alienated herself from women who are more interested in substance than fluff.
I asked a question. the question was, if she was considered ugly by the media, would she be as hated. seems pretty straight forward.
No you didn't ask a question, you made a supposition: "I can't help but think that if she looked like janet reno, she would not be quite as hated by liberal women."
That supposition is wrong. Liberals (of both sexes) have distaste for Palin because of her political positions and apparently lack of intellect.
It's really pretty simple.
If I had to make a supposition it would be that you have a very simplistic view of Liberal Women.
that is why the president is surrounded with people. the president doesn't act alone, and we set it up that way for a reason.

I have a simplistic view of people in general. they really aren't that hard to solve, liberal, conservative, or moderate.

nor would I. I just stated that she meets the qualifications. I have 0 respect for the candidates we were forced to "choose" between. I only had respect for a couple of them during the primaries.

No, but it should be occupied by SMART and COMPETENT individuals. Your type of thinking is EXACTLY what got our Country into the huge mess it's in now. Folks were more interested in putting in office someone they could "sit down and have a beer with" than they were putting someone into office who was capable.
