According to the World Economic Forum, the US continues to get more competitive in the global economy and now ranks third. The report belies the often repeated rhetoric by certain conservative posters that Obama Administration policies are anti-business, destroying American enterprise, or are, hold on to your hats, socialist!

There are still issues to be resolved and dealt with, especially as to debt and environment, but the trend in American competitiveness is a good sign...at least for some of us.

Oh no!

More good economic developments for the USA will be met by grumbling from the right. The self-proclaimed "patriots" just hate it when America gains while a Democrat is in the White House. The current president really trips their trigger, for some unaccountable reason.

No cause and effect has been shown between actions obama has taken and any positive trends or anomolies.

The giant US economy has been smothered by obama's actions but it is so great, even the efforts of the D-party and obama cannot keep it from emerging.

As for world competetiveness, Obama called that global success of many corporations unpatriotic as he plans to punish companies who shift their tax base to other countries.

This is in spite of Barack, not because of him.

The same folks who lavish praise on George Walker Bush have despised the black guy in the White House for 6 years.

But really, does anyone take the George Walker Bush fan club seriously, other than their fellow members?

Thinking people laugh at them.

LOL! What, all five of them?

W has no mindless cult following like O does. To even pretend he does shows how desperate things must be getting. You forgot to throw in the race card too. Oh wait...

This competitiveness is all linked to GDP and debt though.
As far as our manufactured goods..we are not competitive with the world.
