Well well here we go again for all the haters on Fox.

MSNBC (http://www.variety.com/profiles/Company/main/2081428/MSNBC.html?dataSet=1 - broken link) favors Barack Obama (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/781627/Barack%20Obama.html?dataSet=1 - broken link), Fox News Channel (http://www.variety.com/profiles/Company/main/2051532/Fox%20News%20Channel.html?dataSet=1 - broken link) favors John McCain (http://www.variety.com/profiles/people/main/33952/John%20McCain.html?dataSet=1 - broken link), and CNN is somewhere in the middle in its political coverage, though CNN is generally more negative than other media outlets, according to a study of recent media coverage of the presidential race.
^^^ That does not seem to agree with their findings you be the judge.

Yet even on Fox News, the study noted, McCain’s "negative stories outweighed positive ones by almost two to one." Also, the proportion of negative stories about Obama and McCain were identical at 40% of all Fox News stories about each candidate. And while Fox trailed other media in positive stories about Obama, the cabler reported more positive stories on Obama than on McCain — 25% vs. 22%.

, but only 14% of the cabler’s stories on Obama were negative. About 73% of MSNBC stories on McCain were negative,

Nah, I don't think they quite come up to "Fair".

I'd say somewhere between "Stinks Like Dead Fish" and "Make a buzzard Puke" is closer to their level.

Just a thought.

Default Who cares?

I'd rather know how often a peasant in Bangladesh trims his toe-nails.

Since there's not a source, I'll assume Fox wrote that about themselves.

Perhaps the reason Fox had equal negative coverage on McCain is because the McCain campaign provided more fodder for negativity.

Examples-

Selecting an unknown, anti-intellectual dim-wit from Alaska as his running mate.

Accusing Obama of being a socialist and palling around with terrorists.

McCain's supporters calling him an arab and a terrorist at the McCain rallies.

Attendees at Palin's rallies calling for violence against Obama

Claiming that the American economy was sound when in actuality it was crumbling at that very moment.

Posturing to suspend his campaign and rush off to Washington

A running mate who was unable to form words into sensible sentences and seemed to have no concept and no idea how to even begin running a country as was evidenced in several national interviews.

A running mate with a pregnant teen aged daughter

All of this created negativity that had to be addressed by the press. Some of the stories were a short blip on the day's news, but others developed a life of their own and were dissected and discussed ad nauseam.

It's not different than saying that too many murders are reported on the local news- if there were no murders they would not need to be reported. However, if there are murders, they make the news.

I don't know about fair, but it is the only one worth listening to. It is bad enough listening to that one. Yesterday I was flipping channels and saw a man predicting that we will have mayhem in the streets and have to be defending our homes with guns. Do I really need to hear things like that.

When I worked, I didn't have time to listen to these things. I have decided I still don't want to listen to this garbage and will be listening to it no more. Credible news is a thing of the past. They are more into entertaining now. I don't like horror movies either!

It's the only one worth listening to because they play into your opinions. That is not news, it's tabloid journalism.

And I do believe MSNBC does the same for the liberal thinkers.

I don't look to either Fox or MSNBC for news- instead, I seek them out for entertainment and sarcastic spins on the stories that are in the news. (and admittedly, I don't watch Fox because they don't validate my opinions)

Throughout the campaigns, I stuck with CNN. As of now, I still have no idea who their anchors supported in the election. It was actually a game I played- trying to guess who Larry, Anderson, Cooper and Wolf were supporting.

Sometimes they would say something that had me thinking I knew- then they would turn harsh on that candidate and I would question again.
