How long before the hammer falls on these pirates?
There have been almost 100 attacks on ships by pirates off east Africa so far this year.
The British High Commission in Nairobi said: "The MV Biscaglia was attacked this morning.
Islamists have used the pirates to bring in arms shipments and foreign fighters, providing weapons and training in their use in return. They also help with bases from which the pirates operate.
America has no problems invading sovereign countries on flimsy pretexts and lies and bombing wedding parties in Afghanistan and Iraq but suddenly when it comes to Somalia (a failed country with no real government) and the pirates it's borders are sacrosanct and we must respect international protocol. Since when??? The latest insanity from the Bush regime.
Perhaps the pirates are simply gay and misunderstood.

The naval forces are growing all the time. There is already a small flotilla of warships in the region from the US, UK, Canada, France, Turkey, Germany, Russia and India, among others. They need to blow the pirates out of the water, or start putting heavily armed personnel on bait ships.

There is no effective government in Somalia.
Why it effects you...Shipping companies pass on the increased costs - security, higher insurance premiums, ransoms and extra fuel for longer routes in their fees and so it eventually finds its way onto the street.
