With all due respect, you mentioned that "Self Defense is a major part of your life". That being the case, I have several questions to ask you.
First of all why do you feel that ALL black people ask for handouts, expect free rides, and for the most part choose to victimize others for thier shortcomings?
Second of all, having been in the "Arts" a majority of my life and studying several disciplines, I am wondering where the "Humility" is when you post your opinions and thoughts? Any style you undertake has deep roots in humility and patience, yet you write what I percieve to be angry "blanket statements" about an entire race of people.
This is not a personal attack. I am merely trying to gain insight as to why you think the way you do. Allow me to put this in perspective....
If a Black male approaches you with nothing but honorable intentions and you shun him or do something worse, that man will forever see white as evil. In a perfect society, he would only see the bad in the individual and not the race. Unfortunately, things being what they are, that simply is not the case. Much can be said if you reverse the situation. I'm not asking you to embrace, hug or even submit to this train of thought. Your experiences in life thus far have led you to travel the road your on. Im just asking that once in a while you travel a different path. Not all blacks are evil, not all whites are evil, not all hispanics are evil etc.
In my humble opinion, people are formed based on thier experiences. If you grow up in areas where you have to fight for what you want everyday, that might taint your view of everything and everyone outside your surroundings. We are breeding a culture of hate and its manifesting itself in our kids. I'm doing my small part to raise my kids to look at everyone as equal, knowing good and well that anyone could do anything at anytime. Its not paranoia, Its a heightend sense of awareness and its worked so far.
Evil is everywhere my freind. It knows no skin color, gender, or religion. You can either feed it and watch it flourish, or starve it and eventually it will wither to a mangeable force. Choice is yours my brother....

Two things: One, I live in a city where if you felt that way about people as a whole you wouldn't be able to leave your apartment. You would have to live your life as a total shut-in, because to make it here you have to be able to at least coexist with everyone.
Two, I generally post here one day out of the week. I've posted a little bit more on this topic, but this forum takes up such a small amount of my time. When I log-off of this forum I don't go to other forums and post. This is the only place. I walk away from here and I don't even think about race or politics. I do read a lot, but that's for my own knowledge. I'm just too damn busy to walk away from a forum like this and think about these topics during the rest of my day, where I live my life in great peace. I was not now, nor have I ever been, the one who brought up any type of physical confrontation. Someone else did that, and I responded to let them know that adults find much better ways to solve their problems.

Most of my cousins are black. In my first or second post in this topic I made it very clear that I was taking about a segment of people and certainly not an entire race of people by any means. I stand by that. And you'd be surprised to know how many of them agree with me. Can I prove that? No. But I know it's true, and that's good enough for me.
And of course you're not going to suggest that black people NEVER criticize white people as an entire group when they express their own frustrations, right?
I agree, Goldman has conducted himself in a graceless way the entire time. But we live in a such a graceless age where everyone wants their piece of American Pie. Maybe the Goldmans are just products of their environment.

I think you did. I say I think you did because I'm not quite getting the connection between what you quoted and your suggestion that I have something against an entire group of people because of something I said to one person or in reference to a segment of people.
What about that quote are you objecting to exactly? I said I don't go around talking about my dedication to self-defense because there is enough of that on the Internet already. Aren't there enough people posting about fighting each other? My goal, as I have posted in other threads, is to never ever end up in a situation where I have to defend myself physically for the rest of my lifetime.
My quote was in reference to another poster suggesting that someone should cause me physical harm because of the words I used. I disagreed with that point of view, and I responded to it. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ok first things first. Several of your posts have been less than pleasant. When your opinion is challenged, you assume a defensive posture. The whole point of the topic was to discuss what the Black race feels in light of OJ finally being incarcerated. You post things which you know will be considered "sensitive" to some and wonder why people openly challenge you? I'm not sure I understand what it is your trying to say, prove, or establish, but maybe you could isolate whatever it is and say it.
Second of all, for me to say that different races do not make fun of, poke fun at, and insult others who are not of thier skin color or origin would be foolish. You ask a question you already know the answer to. I have had many people try to use the "Race Card" as a means to dissuade me from taking them into custody. It doesnt bother me because, 1. If You do the Crime, you do the time, 2. Race has no bearing on my decision making unless its part of a description of an individual relating to a criminal offense.
I see the sarcasm in your words and that explains alot about who you are. I do not know you, but I'm willing to bet I've dealt with your type (Stereotype here...sarcastic, bitter, and always right) once or twice in my career. I've said it over and over again. There are good people and bad people in every race. You seem to be hung up on the Black race for whatever reason. Be careful, your agenda is showing.
So if your life is so pleasant and easy going, why bother with this thread? Something must be eating at your craw? I dont get it. In one sentence you'll say they get what they deserve and in the other you'll recant and say not all are bad? Agenda, agenda, agenda........
There are a lot of books on Racism...perhaps you should start there.
(I too have have black in my family. The difference between you and I is that I am NOT using that fact to reinforce how I am not a racist)
